Beginner Intro to Casting

Want to learn how to fly cast? This lesson is for beginners as an Intro to Fly Casting. Single or 2 Hand options.  Each session is for 1 person and lasts 2 hr. Contact us to make arrangements.

Cost: $75.00

Basic Single Hand Casting

Basic Single Hand Casting.  This lesson is intended for anyone once they've got the Beginner's Introduction session or beginner skill set under their belt. Each session is for 1 person and lasts up to 2 hrs. Contact us to make arrangements.

Cost: $100.00

Basic 2 Hand Casting

Basic 2 Hand Casting. This lesson is intended for anyone once they've got the Beginner's Introduction session or beginner skill set under their belt. Each session is for 1 person and lasts up to 2 hrs. Contact us to make arrangements.

Personalized Casting Session

A personalized session is a great way for anyone at the basic level or those at intermediate to advanced level who want to fine tune their skills, get their outfit checked or work on specific casting needs. This is what we do best. Contact us to discuss.

This workshop is open to beginner to advanced casters. Pre-registration is appreciated for planning.

Beginner Fly Fish Guide Trip
Trout

This course is available for schedule for individuals or groups. Please contact us to arrange.

Learn the basics of fly fishing for trout with Jerry Darkes. This full-day session takes place on private, trout filled water and includes plenty on-stream learning time to hook, play, land and release fish. Available for individuals or groups

Cost: $350. per person, $450. for 2. 

Prerequisites: none, but it's helpful to have a bit of fly casting under your belt.

Includes: Cost include access fees, instruction, box lunch, flies and class equipment.

Big H2O Fly Fishing Intro
White Bass

Current Class Availability

This trip is available seasonally in early June.

A White Bass Guide Trip is a great way to practice your Big H20 fly fishing skills and get comfortable fly fishing from a boat. Michigan is home to one of the largest White Bass runs in the country. During a brief time in the spring they go on the bait chase and the result for anglers can be a whole lot of excitement! White Bass run in numbers for a short time seasonally May to early June. Contact us to arrange.

Big H20 Fly Fishing Intro

Learn the basics you need to fly fish the Great Lakes Big H20 or as prep for a salt water trip. This introduction will cover casting fundamentals for fly fishing from a boat and provide a controlled experience explore being on a boat while fly fishing.
